Play is how young children think, test, and learn. These are real moments from our studios.
What is the Play Studio?
The Play Studio is a space – and an approach – where children drive their own learning through open-ended, creative play. Teachers act as observers, provocateurs, and guides rather than directors.
This site shares what that looks like in practice, so educators everywhere can bring the same approach into their own classrooms.
Learn MoreMeet the CAT
The CAT is the teacher / play leader. In the Learning Library, videos are organized by the type of role the educator is playing in the moment – choose a role to watch how it works.
[Confirm what “CAT” stands for, and the final list of roles from your spreadsheet.]
For Teachers
Made for educators – not for little kids
This library highlights the work of our play studios for a professional audience: teachers, play leaders, and teacher-educators looking to deepen their practice.
